My name is Bernard Hayden Sam, I’m referred to by all 3 parts of my name. I’m a Baltimore based freelance photographer, and I’ve been taking photos for almost 20 years.

Ever since I held my first disposable as a child, and for some reason, I’ve always gravitated towards taking photos of my friends and family; setting them up in places and posing them, but most of all, I loved seeing their reactions to the photos of just themselves.

There’s something poignant in seeing a drastic change in people before & after a photoshoot; before, people doubt themselves, lack confidence, and/or think they’re unattractive; but after, they now admire their own beauty, pumping up their own self-esteem with a new found confidence, all by a picture! It’s truly something that feeds my soul - I want to do more of that. Change more people into believing in themselves.
